To become an active user of this online social networking platform, you will need to create an account and then login using your account details (username and password).
As you login to your Twitter account, you will need to do some editing to your profile. The "Edit Profile" link is clearly visible on the landing page whether you are using a web browser or downloaded mobile app.
When you land on the edit profile page, you will have the option of editing your Display Picture (DP) as well as banner image. You can also edit your Name, Bio, Location, Website, and Date of Birth. Once you are done editing, you click on the "SAVE" button at the top right of the edit profile page.
Twitter Home Page
On your Twitter home page you will see your banner image, DP image, Name, Bio, and Location. The date (Month and Year) you joined Twitter is also stated on this page for public viewing.
You can also get to know how many followers you have and how many Twitter users you are following. In addition, you have access to your Tweets, Tweets & replies, Media, and Likes.
The Media column shows those videos that you may have tweeted, retweeted or liked. At the top right corner of the home page are three dots arranged in a vertical order. Click on these dots to reveal a drop-down menu. From this menu you have the following options;
- Share: you can share your Twitter page in a number of ways. For example, on WhatsApp or via email.
- Drafts: here are those tweets that you failed to send out, they are saved as drafts for future tweets.
- View Lists: this is a list of twitter users, trends and hashtags that you could follow.
- View Moments: here are memorable moments that you have captured as
- QR code: a security measure provided by Twitter.
