For example, students can use the planner page to find out the due dates for submitting their assignments.
Parents can determine the grades and attendance details of their children. And agric science teachers can take students’ attendance on the farm.
Before any user can access student data, he/she is required to have an active FOCUS Parent Portal. Or a MySDMC account provided by the SDMC.
Attendance, assignments, grades, and school notifications are secure content that needs SDMC-approved login.
Other content like school news, District news, and notifications, as well as social media access, are available to everyone

At present, Cynthia Saunders is serving as the Superintendent of Schools. The Board is currently chaired by Gina Messenger (District Area 1) and has five vice-chairmen.
The vice-chairmen are:

- and Reverend James Golden (District Area 5).
The SDMC board members have a tenure of four years after which new elections are held. Members from District Areas 1 and 3 stand for elections during presidential cycles while elections for members in the other Districts follow midterm election cycles.
Regular board meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at 5:45 p.m.
Unlike Regular board meetings, other board gatherings such as board business meetings and workshops permit members of the public to make verbal contributions.
